Lachlan's Book

While it was a great holiday weekend for barbecues and outside activities, I spent it finishing Lachlan's book. I was sorry to see it end since I love the Sinclare clan. They're a great family, and I'm happy that I still have Ronan's book to write, which I look forward to. That man has been through enough. He needs to come home to family.
Here's a little something about Lachlan's book...
Lachlan Sinclare can enchant any woman with his charming smile. And he'll need it when he's sent to collect the shrewish Alyce Bunnock from Everagis Abbey and return her home to be wed. Upon his arrival he's shocked to learn that an illness has claimed the lives of all but five of the nuns and Alyce. But he's more stunned by his attraction to the beautiful Sister Terese, and he's sure he'll burn in the fires of hell for his sinful thoughts. However, it soon becomes apparent that all at the abbey isn't what it seems and that includes... Sister Terese.

First, I want to thank everyone who has e-mailed me privately with titles for Lachlan's book. You all have great imaginations. Please keep them coming.
Before it rained in New Jersey this weekend, I grabbed a heavy tote (I had high expectations) and went garage sale hunting. I feel I hit the jackpot since I found a few old, classic romances I loved but lost through moves and lending.
In a large box of books I found The Rainbow Season by Lisa Gregory. Digger Turner is back in town. What an opening and it doesn't stop there, the whole book is memorable. Then I was excited to find The Tiger's Woman by Celeste DeBlasis. It's a book that remained with me long after I finished it and I'm overjoyed that I'll get the chance to read it again. Then on a table sitting all alone was a book club edition of Shanna by Kathleen Woodiwiss another classic. You can be sure I won't be lending these books and I'll be extra careful when moving.
A jar of seashells caught my eye, since I knew the perfect place for it. I paid a pittance for a couple of old platters that will work well as wall art and my foraging ended when I found a lovely notebook perfect for journaling. My tote overflowed.
My creative eye also caught a table top that would make a great desk top, but I'm in the process of looking for a place to move and without knowing room sizes I couldn't take the chance. I hope I'm not sorry.
I beat the clouds and stopped for a bite to eat, naturally with a romance book in hand and thoroughly enjoyed myself.
I took a much needed break from a tight writing schedule and it worked wonders. I was eager to get back to Lachlan and I got fresh thoughts for a new series I'm working on.

Sinclare Brothers Book Titles

The deadline for Lachlan's book draws near and with it a workable title. So I'm asking for help. Cavan's book title is Return of the Rogue. Artair's title is Under the Highlander's Spell. What do you suggest for Lachlan's book?
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I will submit all to my editor and see if one is a winner!

Character Names

My character names are important to me. Some characters tell me their names in dreams and surprisingly (though I shouldn't be surprised by now) their names fit them perfectly. The Sinclare brothers and their wives names are a good example of that. In Return of The Rogue you have Cavan whose name means handsome, and he certainly is in more ways than one. You see it for yourself as his generous nature unfolds along with the story. His wife Honora couldn't have a more befitting name, woman of honor. She demonstrates that from the very start and only goes on to prove it unequivocally.
As for Artair, the Celt version of Arthur, it means bear or rock. How true of him, for he is strong and solid in his reasoning. You'll find out if he can remain a rock of reason in Under the Highlander's Spell when he meets the exuberant Zia. Her grandmother bestowed the name, meaning grain, on her at birth, for grain is the staff of life and Zia is a healer who works to save lives.
Next comes Lachlan meaning land of the lochs and or Viking. A suitable name since his charm graces many a Scottish lassie as the lochs grace the Scottish landscape. But he needs a Viking's strength when he's matched with Alyce who has been labeled a shrew, but whose name defines her as a noble woman, though Lachlan must help her learn that for herself.
As for Ronan and his woman? You'll have to wait, their secret yet to be revealed!
